Security-conscious students, job seekers and professionals from other industries have been a welcome complement to our membership.

Our April 14, 2011 meeting has been rescheduled to Wednesday, April 20.  Our topic is polygraphs and our guest speaker is Marty Provost of the Canadian Forces National Investigative Service. He is currently posted to Valcartier so we’re grateful that he is travelling to Ottawa to make this presentation.  We hope you can join us.  Click here for more details.

On February 17, we welcomed Jordon MacLean and Wayne Martell of Cogent Systems as guest presenters at our dinner meeting.  Together, they provided a compelling overview of how digital fingerprinting technology—and in particular, Real Time Identification (RTID)—is impacting an increasing number of industries.  Specific to the defence and security sectors, Jordon and Wayne discussed the global impact of technological capabilities in real time security, policing, military and screening applications.  Their colleague, Nawar Zugeibeh, assisted with a live demonstration of some state-of-the-art equipment and software.  A solid presentation.
